INGREDIENTS:
STEP BY STEP:
- Mix sugar, butter, milk, vanilla and egg yolks in saucepan
- Cook over med heat, stirring occasionally, until thick, about 12 minutes
- Stir in coconut and pecans. Beat until spreading consistency.
- Prepare the cream butter and shortening then add vanilla. Add sugar a cup at a time beating on medium speed. Add milk 1 tbsp at a time and beat on high until fluffy.
TIPS:
To cut the sweetness I usually add about 1/4 tsp. of salt dissolved in
the vanilla.
