INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 oz semisweet chocolate squares
  • maraschino cherries

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  2. Press into ungreased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degree F for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown
  3. While warm, cut into 36 squares. Melt semisweet chocolate in top of double boiler over boiling water. Blend until smooth
  4. Arrange squares on waxed paper. Place a well-drained maraschino cherry on each
  5. Top with teaspoonful of melted chocolate. Let stand until chocolate hardens. Store in flat container.
