INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups light cream
- 8 1/2 oz applesauce
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rice
- Butter or margarine
- Apple pie spice, optional
- Sugar, optional
STEP BY STEP:
- In saucepan combine cream, apple sauce, raisins, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp apple pie spice, and salt
- Bring to boiling, stir in rice. Cover; simmer 10 minutes or till water is absorbed, stirring occasionally
- Spoon into dessert dishes. Dot with butter or margarine
- Sprinkle with a mixture of apple pie spice and sugar, if desired.
