Cottage Cheese Balls

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 can condensed mushroom soup, slightly thinned
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • fresh sliced mushrooms
  • pinch of sugar

STEP BY STEP:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except soup and sliced mushrooms, mix well
  2. Form into walnut size balls and fry until lightly browned or bake for 20-25 minutes at 375 on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  3. Transfer the balls to a 9x13 baking dish. Cover cheese balls with mushroom soup and top with fresh mushroom slices
  4. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
