INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp ground sage
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 can condensed mushroom soup, slightly thinned
- 1 medium onion, minced
- fresh sliced mushrooms
- pinch of sugar
STEP BY STEP:
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except soup and sliced
mushrooms, mix well
- Form into walnut size balls and fry until lightly browned or bake
for 20-25 minutes at 375 on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Transfer the balls to a 9x13 baking dish. Cover cheese balls with
mushroom soup and top with fresh mushroom slices
- Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
