INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups vodka
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups cranberries, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp grated orange rind
  • 1 tsp grated fresh lemon rind

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a large pan, and bring to a boil
  2. Simmer 5 minutes and then stir in the berries and rinds. Take off the heat; cool
  3. Sterilize a quart jar and pour cranberry/sugar mix in. Add vodka and stir
  4. Cover with lid. Store in a cool dark place for one month, shaking every other day. At the end of the month, strain the berries out
  5. Sterilize another jar, and pour the liquid in. Cover, put back in the dark, and let sit another four weeks.
