INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 qt fresh apple cider
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 7 ea sticks cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp finely crushed sweet basil

STEP BY STEP:

  1. In a large enameled pot, gently simmer the juice with the spices for 7 minutes
  2. Break the cinnamon sticks, placing a portion in each tankard or chalice or glass
  3. Pour on warmed cider. Sprinkle sweet basil sparingly on top.
