Cherry And Brandy Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/4 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cold water
  • 3 tbsp brandy

STEP BY STEP:

  1. In a saucepan combine the cherries, the sugar and 1 1/2 cups water and simmer the mixture for 10 minutes or until the liquid is reduced to 1 cup
  2. Mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and add it to the cherry mixture, and simmer the mixture, stirring, for 2 minutes
  3. Add the brandy and stir it in.
