INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 pound marshmallows
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Place the sugar, corn syrup and milk in a saucepan and stir over low heat until the sugar dissolves
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. In the top of a double boiler dissolve the marshmallows in the 2 tablespoons of water
  3. Once the marshmallows are completely melted stir in the hot syrup beating well
  4. Add the vanilla. The sauce may be reheated in the op of a double boiler. Beat well before serving.
