INGREDIENTS:
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp hot chili paste
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- fresh lemon juice to taste
- salt and Pepper to taste
STEP BY STEP:
- In medium saucepan, heat the oil and sauté the garlic until clear
- Add the ketchup, vinegar, onion, red wine, worcestershire sauce, hoisin sauce and chili paste to the sauce
- Add lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Then, place the saucepan over low heat, cover, and let the sauce simmer for 1 to 2 hours to develop the flavors, stirring occasionally.
