INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups wholewheat flour
- 1/3 cup plain yogurt
- ghee
- water
STEP BY STEP:
- Add yogurt to flour and mix in well
- Add enough water to make a soft dough
- Knead well with palm of the hand
- Divide the dough into small pieces the size of a tennis ball
- Roll each ball in the palm, of the hand, using both palms to pat the dough.
Set aside. Heat tawa
- Roll out the dough into 4-5 inch circles, on a floured board
- Place on the hot tawa and when the top side starts to bubble, turn over and the other side to cook for about 15-20 seconds
- Hold this chapati over an open medium-low flame and turn over to allow the entire chapati to fluff up
- Brush each side with a little ghee and serve hot.
