INGREDIENTS:
- 4-6 fresh corn tortillas
- 2 1/2 tsp dark mexican beer
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp taco seasoning
- 8 oz spicy pork sausage meat
- 1 lb cheddar cheese, shredded
STEP BY STEP:
- Place the sausage meat, beer and taco seasoning in a bowl. Knead together to mix well
- Cover and refrigerate for two hours to let the flavors develop
- In a sauté pan over low heat, crumble the pork mixture. Add the water and sauté until tender, about 30 minutes. Drain and set aside
- Preheat the broiler
- Divide the mixture evenly among 4 individual gratin dishes
- Top with the shredded cheese and broil until golden brown and bubbly
- Serve immediately with hot corn tortillas.
