INGREDIENTS:
- 6 piece 4 inch square sopaipillas
- 2 cup red or green chile sauce
- 1 1/2 cup frijoles refritos or cooked ground beef
- 1 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- shredded lettuce, optional
- tomato wedges, optional
STEP BY STEP:
- Cut a slit along one side of each sopaipilla with a sharp knife
- Fill sopaipillas with Frijoles Refritos and/or ground beef, onion, and cheese
- Place sopaipillas in individual dinner plates and top with chile sauce
- Place in 350°F oven for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Garnish with lettuce and tomato wedges.
